(136) Omega/Chandra Symbols: Libra 21 - 25

Phase 41. Self-Esteem (Hay Hay Hay)

Angel: HAHAHEL (HA-ha-HEL) Mission

Libra 21. The sea as still as a mirror. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Experimental
(Degree Angel: Nemamiah (ne-MAM-mee-YAH) Listening to Your Soul, Discernment)

When the mind is stilled, emotional turbulence subsides and the vast depths of the subconscious can be experienced. This degree of Libra can bring other people to a much deeper awareness of every aspect of their consciousness. They impart to the world around them a clarity that is transcendently healing, even if many people can only experience it for moments at a time.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A magician wearing a live snake for a belt.”The snake divides the body unto upper and lower halves which signify spirit and matter. The snake signifies wisdom, hence this image has to do with the interaction of spirit and matter as it happens cyclically – the process of spirit incarnating, losing self awareness, regaining some of it, returning to spirit to assimilate what it has learned, and returning to matter to learn more.

It is the constant turbulence of the phenomenal world that keeps our consciousness shrouded in illusion. This degree has a deep desire to see beyond this turbulence to the still sea of the Omega Symbol. At its best it is able to see all relationships in the context of the evolutionary process, and to tap into the deepest meaning that lies beyond all outer conflict and confusion. In essence, this degree has the power to look beyond surface distortions to glimpse the core meanings of all its connections.

A monkey dressed in a brocade coat. (Chandra Symbol). Deeply attuned to our inner wisdom we are able to play and to take on roles that feel like they suit the needs of the moment.

Oracle

The sea has been known sometimes to become completely still, remaining as clear as a mirror even in the presence of wind. This phenomenon seems to arise from the sea itself as a kind of intent which allows starlight to enter it more completely. In fact, some observers have suggested that the sea has a need for starlight as a nutrient and will still itself in this way to fulfill that need. If this be the case, it is most intriguing to wonder what might be the nature and characteristics of a sea starved of starlight. Possibly researchers will one day build a little sea to study the effects on it of starlight deprivation.

22. A man avoiding moonlight. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Sensitive

(Degree Angel: Yeialel (YAY-a-LEL) Letting Go, Mental Force)

This degree knows the profound value of keeping a goal in sight, and of maintaining objectivity without repressing or denying one's feelings. The emotions are respected and allowed be what they are, but can be overcome, ignored or put aside if they become obstructions to what one is trying to accomplish. If one can let go of any and all fears of what the subconscious holds, then the greatest powers of this degree can be accessed.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “An ancient glass vial perfectly preserved.” This vial is protected from time and the elements. To avoid moonlight, as the man doers in the Omega Symbol, is to avoid vulnerability, but to do this not through becoming hard and resistent but through creating a protective aura around oneself within which one may maintain sensitivity and delicacy.

To be protected the vial must have been buried in the ground or in some other way hidden, or valued and handled with care by generations of people. However this protection has occurred, what has come down to us is something beyond current fashions and attitudes, and without modification – meaning without compromise. This degree signifies ways of being that transcend what is passing, and a timeless sensitivity that when shared with others, can reawaken their sensitivity.

A gold ring baked into a cake. (Chandra Symbol). Honoring and protecting our sensitivity leads us to fortuitous and felicitous discoveries.

Oracle

At night he always stayed inside, in his hut with no windows, and always burned candles. Even so, he could feel, on clear nights, the moonlight bathing his roof and walls, the feeling of it rising inside him and flooding into his eyes, making them cold, so that he had to stare into a candle to warm them.

If only, he thought, he could turn into a shadow, then he might go out into the night and enjoy it, his shadow self absorbing and digesting the moonlight, his blind shadow eyes safe from it. Yes, that's it, he thought, I must become the night, for then I can contain the moon inside me rather than be engulfed by it.

Libra 23. A young boy leading a giant ox. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Receptive

(Degree Angel: Harahel (HA-ra-HEL) Umbilical Cord, Intellectual Richness)

With this degree innocence must lead, and must be allowed to predominate. When there is any problem with advancing, the use of extreme subtlety and gentleness will urge the stuck place to release and hence allow for forward motion. Goodness can find its own way forward as long as it accepts itself and refuses to be distracted by advice from those who are merely projecting their own agendas onto it.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A tremendous boulder hovering over the ocean.” Gravity, in one context of symbolism can signify selfishness – for it draws to itself in compelling manner anything and everything. Here gravity has been transcended, we have overcome the selfish aspect of our emotions, as symbolized by the sea. There is here a wonderful lightness of being, but not the iinsubstantial lightness of smoke, but rather lightness with the weight of a boulder, meaning lightness that is in no way superficial. This degree has the ability to be light and airy while still accessing depth and seriousness. It is a way of relating that goes far beyond the usual and the expected.

An old woman drying herbs. (Chandra Symbol). When we take a gentle, light and non-judgmental approach to reality we find we are able to use the bountiful gifts of nature to our own advantage as well as the advantage of others.

Oracle

(From the “Natura Resplendens” of Timarus:) “The picture of a young boy leading a giant ox down a country road signifies the soul guiding the forces of the physical body. The weight and density of the ox is ponderous, and it is the nature of the ox to be stubborn, resistive and unmoving. But it perceives the sweetness and gentleness of the boy as a glowing light which it loves and is willing to follow wherever it may lead. And so the wise tell us to love our bodies, and I add to their saying by exhorting you to be cherishing also of the love that your body has for you.”

Libra 24. Gemstones buried in the ground in the pattern of the constellation Orion. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Responsible

(Degree Angel: Mitzrael (MITS-ra-EL) Freedom, Internal Reparation)

This degree has the ability to bring harmony to any and all situations. An inner guidance is at work here, even if it isn't consciously recognized. What cannot be accomplished quickly or directly can be covertly urged in many different ways, which can eventually break through blockages in relationship. Nothing here happens fast, but given time it can happen in a full, complete way.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A Chameleon with moving pictures appearing on its back.” The chameleon symbolizes the fire elementals known as salamanders. This degree has the ability to relate to anything and everything in every way possible. At it highest it is a universal healer, and can turn everything into a medicine simply by reflecting it and thereby heightening the self-awareness of others. There is a great lack of stability here, but the question is, is stability always something to be desired? When stability is let go of then the forces of creativity and change are allowed to come in and transmute situation.

The Omega Symbol of this degree alludes to the fact that there is a hidden quality to this degree, and just as the gemstones are hidden through being buried, the chameleon disappears beneath what it reflects.

Pleiadian Symbol: Out of a cocoon more and more butterflies emerging.

Azoth Symbol: A table of the movements of invisible planets.

From ancient times they called this region the Star Fields, the reason for the name long forgotten, until he rediscovered it.

Mapping the gems he realizes that the tower is located at the center of Orion's heart, the stars of the mythical hunter above mirrored in the earth below.

Mighty Orion, who had wished to kill all the wild animals of the earth. But Gaia, their mother, being desirous of protecting her brood, sent him the Scorpion.

Libra 25. New words magically appearing in the dictionary. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Inspired

(Degree Angel: Umabel (OO-ma-BEL) Water, Affinity and Friendship)

This degree enlarges awareness, and makes way for new ideas to be introduced into a milieu in a smooth way, so that people experience a minimum of discomfort that might otherwise accrue from the process of change. In all relationships new points of connection can appear which can enrich interaction immeasurably. Everyone's power to communicate is stretched and expanded, which increasingly opens up more possibilities to be explored.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “In the midst of a forest, a great circular open area.” This is a place to hide, to commune secretly with others, and to be protected as this happens. This degree has the power of touching everyone it meets in an intimate and ineffable way that is often subliminal and unsuspected. The words appearing in the dictionary of the Omega Symbol are new ones which we need to communicate new ideas, enhancing the depth of our interaction with others.

This degree is all about finding a space in which to connect, and has the ability to do this swiftly and instinctively – to just be there where the other person is in intimate rapport, offering escape and relief from the world's narrow focus. It is through going to this place of deep communion and then returning that we are rejuvenated and hence able to deal with our own world with greater clarity and perspective.

Oracle

Some of these new words when pronounced correctly would leave strange tastes on the tongue, or cause birds to sing or dogs to bark in response. Others caused sudden lapses of memory so that everything looked like something being seen for the first time, all the pronouncer's senses having been disencumbered from the past.

It was frequently found that certain people would find a new word and fall hopelessly in love with it, walking around as if in a state of trance and whispering their new found word over and over.

This is the phenomena which in time came to be called “The Poetic Conspiracy.”
